Vinyl clad weatherstrip, commonly known as Q-foam weather seal strip, is a high-performance compression sealing product used primarily for doors and windows. It is constructed with a polyurethane (PU) foam core that is fully encapsulated in a vinyl (PE) outer cladding, creating a flexible yet durable weather seal.

Q-LON® has become an industry-recognized name for this type of vinyl clad foam weatherstrip due to its consistent sealing performance, long service life, and superior resistance to environmental exposure.

Material Composition

1. PU Foam Core (Inner Core)

●Material: Polyurethane foam (open-cell), it can provides compression, flexibility, and rebound

●Characteristics:

Excellent compression recovery

Maintains elasticity over thousands of open/close cycles

Adapts easily to uneven gaps

Does not permanently deform under normal door pressure

2. Vinyl (PE) Cladding

●Material: Polyethylene (PE) , that protects the foam core from environmental damage

●Characteristics:

Moisture-resistant and non-absorbent

UV and ozone resistant

Smooth surface reduces friction during door operation

Easy to clean and maintain

3. Insert / Carrier

●Materials: PP (Polypropylene) or TPE with structural stability and secure installation

Prevents shrinkage over time
