Industrial EPDM Rubber Tubing

EPDM rubber tube is commonly choosed by customer. EPDM rubber exhibits extremely high chemical stability and is one of the rubbers with the best weather resistance. The hardness of densely extruded rubber tube is typically 60~85A.

Specific Parameters

Temperature Range

Long-term: -40℃~120℃; Short-term peak: 150℃

Media Resistance

Resistant to cold water, hot water, and saturated steam; resistant to weak acids (pH≥4) and weak alkalis (pH≤10); resistant to ethylene glycol and antifreeze; resistant to ozone, ultraviolet radiation, and aging.

Physical Properties

Tensile Strength: 8~13MPa; Elongation at Break: 300%~500%; Resilience: ≥60%

Advantages and Disadvantages of EPDM Rubber Tube

Advantages: Excellent weather resistance, outdoor use for 15~20 years without aging; good insulation performance; excellent elasticity, low compression set; moderate cost, high cost-effectiveness.

Disadvantages: Not resistant to mineral oils and aromatic solvents (such as gasoline, diesel, and toluene); not resistant to strong acids and alkalis (concentration > 10%).

Applications

Building HVAC: Air conditioning condensate drain pipes, underfloor heating manifold connection pipes, radiator bypass pipes, solar water heater inlet and outlet pipes.

Automotive Industry: Engine coolant circulation pipes, heating system hoses, vacuum brake booster pipes, body drain hole sleeves.

Industrial Equipment: Low-pressure steam transmission pipes (such as small boilers and ovens), equipment cooling water pipelines, acid and alkali dilution solution transmission pipes (concentration < 10%).

Electrical Protection: Wire and cable insulation sleeves, transformer cooling water pipe sleeves.
